We are currently seeking candidates for an Environmental Specialist to join our team in Paterson, WA at Columbia Crest Winery.

What you will do:

* Ensure that facilities are in compliance with all federal, state and municipal environmental regulations and that all required reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner
* Provide field presence for the environmental programs at facilities in WA/OR/CA
* Develop and deliver all required environmental training (annual refresher training, SPCC, stormwater, and RMP training and assist with HAZWOPPER training).
* Consult on all environmental programs for all company facilities, including: permits, annual reports, inspections and audits
* Conduct environmental compliance inspections and investigations; participate/host third party corporate audits
* Facilitate company-wide recycling program
* Promote and support environmental compliance awareness for supervisors and employees
* Work as a liaison between regulatory agencies and facility management
* Manage company sustainability program including tracking monthly data, reporting the data, and provide data and review corporate responsibility reports
* Consult on capital projects pertaining to environmental and sustainability management and compliance

What you will bring:

* Minimum of 5+ years Environmental management experience in a manufacturing environment
* Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science/Geology/Chemistry/Biology or related field; Master of Science preferred
* Understand regulations pertaining to Air/Water/Wastewater/Hazardous Waste/Drinking Water/DOT
* Experience working with regulatory agencies on permit development and report submittal
* Ability to conduct thorough and accurate environmental incident investigations and associated regulatory reporting
* Strong communication/presentation skills and the ability to effectively train others
* Knowledge of federal/state/local environmental regulations and reporting requirements
* Ability to provide diplomatic customer service while also maintaining an unwavering approach to the enforcement of all environmental regulations
* Experience with RMP, Tier II, Dangerous Waste, Air Emission, Wastewater reporting
