WHAT YOU'LL DO

Our Beverage Technology and Innovation team is proud of where we've been, but more interested in where we're going. This team drives creativity, pushing us to find the next big thing.

Here, you'll drive, leveraging your scientific mindset and technical knowledge, to support in the development of amazing beverages that consumers love and seek. Reports to: Associate Research Manager

Direct Reports: N/A

    • Lead foundational research to strategically advance technical insights, develop intellectual property, and support product development and quality.
    • Drive the emerging science and technology program to effectively scout, evaluate, and implement novel beverage technologies.
    • Execute long term research projects on ingredient technology, their impact on functionality, overall stability and shelf life.
    • Partner with our supplier network to leverage subject matter experts and technical expertise to deliver meaningful impact to the company (cost reduction, innovations, etc.).
    • Actively identify opportunities to solve product quality problems, to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Use Design of Experiments and statistical analysis to interpret and present results to internal stakeholders.
    • Design and assemble research platforms to understand complex scientific problems
    • Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; good time-management, organizational, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills.
    • Working knowledge of FDA regulations as it applies to CPG industry is desirable but not a must.
    • Ensure food safety, quality, and SQF practices are always followed, notifying immediate manager of any food safety and/or quality issues.
    • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.


WHAT YOU BRING
    • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
    • Strong working knowledge of food science principles, food manufacturing processes and ingredient functionality.
    • Minimum of 5 years of food, chemical, or biological laboratory experience.
    • Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, occasionally working evenings and weekends as needed for special assignments.

Please note, this role is safety sensitive. This means that as part of your core responsibilities you will be regularly responsible for your own safety and/or the safety of others (e.g., driving on behalf of the company, working in a warehouse/plant environment).
