We are seeking a Sr. HR Business Partner to support our employees in propelling our mission forward by working collaboratively and partnering closely with other areas within the HR department including Communications and Engagement, Recruiting & Development, and Compensation & Benefits. As a member of our team, you will build and execute strong integrated HR strategies and initiatives to support each client group's unique business needs and objectives. You will also work with and coach senior and future leaders on modeling behaviors and practices consistent with Delta Dental's values.

Responsibilities
* Partner with HR team to develop and deliver employee engagement programs designed to improve retention, empower employees, develop managers, and identify high potential employees
* Build and maintain influential relationships by being a strategic partner with management and an advocate for employees.
* Interpret and apply corporate policies and practices, employment law and other regulations to provide advice, guidance, or clarification for employee relations inquiries. Consults with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues, attempting to resolve employee relations issues with a systematic approach. When necessary, conduct and oversee employee relations investigations and advise managers on how to address employee behaviors and concerns.
* Data driven approach with strong analytics and the ability to create the right people metrics and implement solutions to drive positive change
* Own new hire onboarding, building an engaging and inclusive experience for our employees starting day one
* Participates in company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., performance management, compensation review, workforce planning, and organizational change)
* Partner with leaders of assigned client groups to ensure alignment and support of department goals through HR programs and people-focused initiatives. May play a role in administering talent management and succession planning activity within client organization.
* Strengthen the management capabilities across the organization by providing coaching and leadership development to people managers
* Guide and support the annual performance review process through coaching managers and through data, workflow, and analysis
Qualifications

* BA in Business, Human Resources or equivalent work experience preferred.
* 10+ years of experience in the Human Resources field with direct Human Resource Business Partner experience.
* Solid working knowledge of multiple human resource areas including benefit and compensation practices, workforce planning, employee relations, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), performance management, compliance and federal and state employment laws.
* SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or equivalent experience desired.
