Data Center Manager - CTP - Redmond, WA - $40.00/hr

A Technology Service and Consulting Company is seeking a Data Center Manager in Redmond, WA.


Role Description


Searching for an exceptional Data Center Manager. This position will be located within a highly visible, customer-facing location that provides support to Executive level internal and external customers. Most work will be completed on-site within the facility located in Redmond.


• Monitor and perform on-going maintenance on servers and network equipment.

• Provide IT support to staff and customers, as well as responding to server and network issues.

• Running hardware diagnostics and replacing failing parts in a timely manner.

• Collaborate with engineering and global network operations teams to ensure cybersecurity as well as site and cross-site network operation.

• Upgrading system components, including CPUs, memory, hard drives, GPU's, power supplies, NIC's, and cables.

• Documenting processes and keeping event logs.

• Advising on the procurement of new datacenter and networking equipment.

• Keeping track of developing trends in datacenter technologies and software vulnerabilities.

• Mentor to other teammates and jr. datacenter technicians.

• Maintain relationships with key business partners to leverage best practices, evaluate emerging technologies, and distribute knowledge internally to inform plans and strategies.

• Upgrade of existing datacenter environment to global standards.

• Additional technical related tasks/activities as they arise.


Skills & Requirements


• In-depth knowledge of data center environments, servers, and network equipment including VLan's, Clustering, Kubernetes, Active Directory, virtualization and cloud computing.

• Extensive experience in installing, monitoring, and maintaining data center equipment and ability.

• Exceptional ability to work as part of a team, provide IT support, and resolve issues.

• Ability to keep up with advancements in data center infrastructure and technologies.

• Proficiency in documenting network processes.

• Exceptional communication skills and professional demeanor.

• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting

• Batchelor's in Computer Science, IT, engineering, or 4+ years of datacenter work experience.

• CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Network+, CCNA certificates.

• Knowledge of current AV trends with understanding of AV networking principals.

• Prior mentoring/training of Jr. level team members.
