The Challenge

The Adobe Digital Video and Audio group's Advanced Product Development team is looking for a talented Software Engineering Developer to join us in building the next generation of animation tools. You will work on core features, solve hard problems, and help to deliver "Adobe magic" to our customers, specifically tackling problems in the area of accessible animation.
What you will do

You and your team will deliver creative, high quality, robust features, for web-based and/or desktop (macOS and Windows) software in an Agile development environment.

You'll work closely with developers, quality engineers, product managers, program managers, and user experience designers to implement features for Adobe Character Animator and/or other products.

Additionally, you'll have many opportunities to engage directly with our passionate customers and will help to shape the design and specification of new features.

Character Animator is part of the broader Digital Video & Audio (DVA) and Creative Cloud families. Many of our projects cross wider organization boundaries and you'll gain experience working across many teams.

In your role, you'll develop features, write automation tests, and perform code reviews, and will be supported and encouraged by a passionate team who build amazing technology and have fun doing it.
What you need to succeed

  • Experience in JavaScript
  • Experience with C++, Lua, and GPU shader languages a plus
  • Experience with Adobe products a plus
Beneficial skills
  • A background in animation and/or video
  • Working knowledge of concepts specific to development for video and compositing tools
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Experience with macOS and Windows development tools
