UW-IT is the central IT organization for the University of Washington, providing technology solutions to all three campuses, UW medical centers, and global research operations. UW-IT collaborates with University partners to advance teaching, learning, innovation, and discovery at the UW.
Enterprise Document Management (EDM), a team within UW-IT's Information Management division, provides and supports the Enterprise Document Management and eSignatures services to the global UW community. We collaborate with partners in most domains of the University including academic, business, research, and IT groups and our services are used by students, faculty, staff, and researchers across the University of Washington. These services support enterprise business process modernization and automation, records retention for electronic records, and risk management.
EDM is seeking a Business Analyst with excellent communication skills to lead the functional analysis and discovery for Enterprise Document Management implementation projects. This person will ensure that the service successfully delivers customer solutions by gathering and organizing requirements, managing functional scope, and effectively mapping business needs to the solution at hand. The Business Analyst is responsible for understanding compliance demands and the technical solution well enough to accurately analyze customer requests, evaluate those requests for fit with technical capabilities, and advocate for change as needed. The Business Analyst works closely with EDM team members as well as partner teams within UW-IT and across UW in providing this critical service.
REQUIREMENTS:
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

Work in a hybrid (some onsite, some remote) or fully remote environment if approved.
Onsite work is in an open office environment.
This is an essential position and is required to report to work remotely if UW suspends operations.
