Director of Development
Remote Now Seattle

Use your strong leadership and management skills, and the talent to motivate staff and partners, at this esteemed national healthcare organization. Lead the team, take responsibility for propelling the mission, expand existing and exploring new revenue opportunities, cultivate donor relationships, manage the board, organize supporters, and oversee the annual budgets. Collaborate with the regional offices to ensure that the mission and fundraising objectives are met.

Responsibilities

* Advance organizations mission and boost its exposure
* Lead staff development efforts to achieve targeted revenue growth and goals.
* Create plans, identify, recruit, and develop top volunteer leadership
* Manage Board, including strategic recruitment of top corporate and philanthropic leaders
* Articulate goals, outcomes, and objectives for volunteers
* Ensure seamless collaboration between various departments of the organization
* Expand existing and explore new revenue opportunities
* Provide the staff with the necessary resources to excel in their donor portfolios management
* Support the team members understanding of the strategic plan to hit the goals
* Lead, coach, and guide staff and volunteers to an understanding of core tactics for fundraising to achieve optimal event fundraising outcomes
* Getting actively involved in the hiring process of new talent
* Maintain accountability and set quantifiable metrics for staff productivity
* Reward outstanding staff performance
* Motivate, engage, and inspire staff, creating the conditions to excel in their roles
* Foster a respectful workplace in terms of diversity, by continuous constructive feedback, encouraging creativity, and providing recognition for outstanding work and results Requirements
* Strong staff management experience with a distinguished track record
* Ability to manage a diverse, including remotely working, staff of all levels
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Experience in a nonprofit environment is preferred
* Experience in successfully securing major gifts and corporate partnerships
* Aptitude in setting a vision for the organization and implementing the necessary steps for its realization
* Ability to motivate staff and ensure mission objectives are met by the team
* Board management experience; recruitment and retention of board leadership
* Exceptional familiarity with the local professional community
