Job description
Purpose
The HR Generalist will champion Neighborcare Health's Core Values, Service Commitments, and commitment to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). Under the guidance of Human Resources leadership, this highly collaborative position will develop, implement, and manage a holistic wellbeing strategy, initiatives, and programming centered on physical health, emotional health, and social connectedness. As a member of the Human Resources Operations team, they will also support team projects and initiatives and provide coaching and support to leaders and staff to improve performance, resolve workplace concerns, and respond to questions regarding organizational policies and procedures.

In this position you will:
Wellbeing:
- Design and develop a holistic wellbeing strategy centered on physical health, emotional health, and social connectedness. Research and recommend a health promotion and wellness technology platform to support the holistic wellbeing strategy.
- Implement and lead a comprehensive wellbeing program that promotes a healthy lifestyle and reduces health risks for staff throughout the organization. Design strategies and high-quality communications to educate and promote use of wellbeing programs to drive engagement.
- Develop metrics to assess the effectiveness and results of the wellbeing program. This includes evaluating program engagement, benefits to staff and the organization, and cost effectiveness. Stay abreast of best practices and leading and emerging trends aimed at embedding a holistic culture of wellbeing and develop a network of resources and contacts in the community.
- In partnership with the HR Operations team, manage L&I claims and accommodation requests. Design strategies to support workplace safety and ergonomics initiatives. Participate in the Staff Safety Council.
- Assist with preparation and implementation of wellbeing budget, policies, and procedures.
HR Operations:
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with staff and leaders to cultivate a culture centered on Neighborcare Health's Core Values, Service Commitments, and EDI. Respond to emails and phone calls to the HR team; providing advice, assistance and follow-up on organization policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Working in close coordination with HR colleagues, assist with staff relations issues and resolution of workplace concerns, conducting investigations as needed. Make recommendations to improve HR work processes.
- Stay informed on new and existing employment laws, regulations and best practices. Support team projects and initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned within job qualifications.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and highly relevant experience.
- Minimum (3) years' progressively responsible experience in Human Resources
- Experience administering a Wellbeing program
Preferred qualifications:
- Human Resources professional certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM- CP, SHRM-SCP, etc.)
- Experience with L&I and managing accommodation requests
- Experience in Healthcare
