Requirements:
Firewatch/Handyman
Pay: $18.50/hr.
Start: 6/18
Mon-Friday, 40 plus hours per week. After 3-4 weeks, OT should be available.
Must have Marine Osha 10, Firewatch and Respirator Fit certs. Will provide training if not currently certified.
Job Description:
- Must be a US citizen or Naturalized Citizen. Must have US Birth Certificate or US Passport to obtain access badge to the yard.
- Watch out for fire hazards in the workplace while hot work is performed by other employees
- Maintain the conditions and requirements stated on the safety permit
- Keep flammable materials from ignition sources
- In the event of fire, extinguish it immediately or turn a fire alarm on
- Stop operations if you find any hazardous condition
- Must have at least 6 months firewatch experience
- Must have OSHA 10 Maritime card or be willing to complete OSHA 10 Maritime safety training
- Must have PPE(hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel toe boots)
- Must have firewatch card, or be willing to complete the firewatch training.
