Project Background:
The client is looking for a high-judgement and seasoned public relations professional to own business-critical communications functions for a diverse and challenging range of customer trust topics including but not limited to privacy, security, and artificial intelligence. The right candidate works effectively in a matrixed global organization, quickly builds effective working relationships, possesses extensive media relations skills, has a proven background with business-critical issues management, and can exercise strategic instincts while acting with bias for action. As part of the role, you will work with key business leaders and marketing teams to develop and execute proactive communications strategies and cross-channel programs to build customer trust, as well as manage complicated reactive issues and news cycles. You should enjoy thinking creatively about how to communicate about these complex topics in a simple way that resonates with customers
Core Job Responsibilities:
•Review press releases and collateral from partners to ensure accuracy
and consistency
•Support PR strategy and execution
•Media Relations
•Develop, build, and maintain strong relationships with relevant media
•Successfully manage complex, fast-moving, and unexpected communications challenges
Basic qualifications
•Bachelor's degree
•4+ years PR experience
Preferred qualifications
•Experience managing media relationships, and a network of media contacts
•Experience leading PR execution for large-scale events
•Experience executing press tours and product reviews programs
•Experience working with third parties to coordinate joint PR programs
•An entrepreneurial spirit, including ability to work independently and autonomously
•A track record of successfully representing high-profile consumer technology products
•Outstanding attention to detail, understanding of technology, and ability to communicate complex topics effectively
•Passionate about excellence in writing and verbal communications
•Thrives in a collaborative environment and is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done
•Strong judgment and the ability to respond quickly, yet thoughtfully, to
urgent PR matters
•Ability to earn trust with diverse, multidisciplinary stakeholders
