Job description

Surround yourself with some of Washington's top stormwater consulting talent by joining Aspect's full-service stormwater team. Aspect Consulting, LLC (Aspect), an earth science and engineering consulting firm, is seeking a project-level engineer to join our Stormwater Practice. This is a full-time position that will collaborate with project managers, clients, and other engineers to complete cutting-edge projects to restore and protect water quality and fish and wildlife habitat. Over time, you will have the opportunity to progress to a Senior Engineer level and eventually into project and client management.

We are looking for a motivated engineer who enjoys promoting sustainable communities and wants to apply their skills to:


  • Complete in-field stream condition evaluations, drainage system inventories, basin delineations, and stormwater retrofit project site assessments.
  • Set up, run, and analyze hydrologic and hydraulic models and identify stormwater treatment technologies targeting specific pollutants.
  • Prepare conceptual stormwater and stream restoration designs in GIS and then use AutoCAD to prepare construction drawings.
  • Review existing stormwater programs and advise clients on how to comply with municipal, industrial, and construction stormwater permits.
  • Prepare technical reports, permit applications and submittals, comprehensive stormwater management plans, and stormwater master plans.
  • Provide construction management support for stormwater and habitat restoration projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a BS degree in engineering
  • 4+ years of stormwater engineering and design experience
  • Experience applying stormwater management and design manuals
  • Ability to perform field work, sometimes in remote areas
  • Clear writing and communication skills
  • Proficiency using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel as required
