Recruiting Analytics, Senior BI Manager

The People Team (HR) is seeking a Recruiting Analytics, Senior BI Manager to join our rapidly growing People Analytics team where our purpose is to drive strategic decisions and actions at Expedia Group with data and insights.

The team applies sophisticated analytical techniques to glean and share data driven recommendations and actions that improve business results in a multifaceted and evolving environment.

As an integral member of the team, you will partner with leaders and employees to bring the voice of the business into the People Analytics function.

You'll use existing tools and data in new and unusual ways and make agile changes to our existing analytics platform and methodologies. You will build, develop, and implement new data visualizations and focus on scalable product development. You'll provide data-at-your-fingertips and impactful analysis to all Business Leaders, People Leaders, and Employees across Expedia Group.

We're specifically looking for expert analytics professional to invigorate and reinvent the Recruiting Analytics insights and capabilities.

In this role, you will serve as an active partner for recruiting leadership to use analytics to advise standard methodologies and drive strategies, including improving candidate and hiring manager experience, driving recruiting process efficiencies within the recruiting journey, finding opportunities, and implementing actions to meet our inclusion and diversity goals, growing quality of hire, and bringing in-depth awareness to optimal talent supply and sourcing methodology opportunities.

What you'll do:

  • Deliver data, insights and recommendations to recruiting leadership in support of strategy and goals
  • Provide thought leadership on topics of recruiting analytics, including an external perspective of current competitive trends and outstanding performance, as well as related intersections with People Analytics and the broader HR community, such as Inclusion & Diversity, market hiring trends, candidate attraction, talent supply by geography and job function, etc
  • Partner with broader People Analytics to stitch pre-hire data and insights to post-hire activities to advise early opportunities for quality of hire to drive future performance, engagement, and retention
  • Use external data and tools to drive proactive understanding of talent supply opportunities and hiring strategy among leadership
  • Ability to influence and drive decisions with leadership on sophisticated recruiting challenges based on both qualitative and quantitative data
  • Improve and evangelize recruiting reporting visualizations and tools to build a data-driven environment and empower self-service at scale across the recruiting organization
  • Partner closely with HR Data Lake / Tableau architects to optimize for new and/or available internal and external data sources to bring into new and/or existing reporting for increased impact and innovation
  • Seek out opportunities to promote "nudging" behavior change across the hiring manager and recruiter population using analytics and candidate feedback


Who you are:
  • People analytics professional with at least 5-7 years of customer-facing experience analyzing people data to drive business outcomes
  • Proven partnership, influencing and communication experience with HR and business leaders
  • Demonstrable experience building best-in-class reporting and data visualization tools
  • Proven success and passion for storytelling with data to senior leaders which drives understanding robust discussion in order to drive decisions and strategy
  • Required skill in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and specifically related to working with large data sets to visualize data, glean trends, build analysis and insights; and experience using tools such as Tableau, SQL, Qualtrics, languages such as r and Python, or similar is preferred
  • Bachelor's in Business Administration, Economics, Human Resources, Information/Computer Science, I/O Psychology, or equivalent related professional experience
  • MBA/MA/MS or equivalent related professional experience in a field that emphasizes analyzing, displaying, or reporting on data preferred
  • Preferred experience working specifically with recruiting data (e.g., recruiting funnel data, candidate and hiring manager engagement, talent supply hiring strategy optimization) in the technology platform or travel industries
