The Team You'll Work With

We're looking for Senior Front End Engineers to join our new Carta Tax Advisory team. We see a huge potential to support employees of startups with private equity to make good financial decisions and planning related from their tax perspective.

As a nascent team with a huge business focus, you will get to work closely with business leaders, product managers and other engineers in the team. We believe in smaller teams to allow for greater focus and have an immense amount of ownership over the problems that we solve. We have a strong collaborative relationship between Business Operations, Product and Engineering. Being helpful is ingrained in our culture.

The Problems You'll Solve

You'll be solving complex engineering challenges focused on helping our consumers navigate tax and be less intimidated by the process. From building products that help educate employees on how to manage their wealth to making sound financial decisions. You would work to remove the barriers of entry for individual employees and help grow their personal wealth.

Some Of The Problems You Could Contribute To

• Collaborating with a small backend team to build a user friendly tax filing and advisory product and help define front end standards across our tax product
• Thinking about the long term front end code base for tax and build abstractions and standardized components to help in team productivity, coherence across the product lines and seamless experience between tax and other carta products
• Owning medium-to-large scale features to solve critical problems that employees (like me and you) at private companies face each day

The Impact You'll Have

As a Senior Front End Engineer your impact will be felt broadly across Carta. From building products that are used by 1M+ shareholders on Carta. Our teams are small, oftentimes operating like a "startup within a startup".

About You

You're a strong communicator and love coordinating and contributing to cross team efforts to tackle crucial business problems that impact the whole organization. You are a generalist who is comfortable working with ambiguity.

We are looking for someone with 5+ years of web development experience, with strong knowledge and experience in React.
