Job Description Summary
Provide superior service to HR colleagues and business units related to HR systems, configuration, testing, implementation, support and production of management information to aid organization design activities, HR system security management, and HR service delivery with a strong focus on Workday. Provide project management support on specific system enhancements and upgrades. Primary focus on Workday, but will work on other projects as needed.
Job Details
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Support and drive the delivery of HR System strategy to include process and quality management
- Enhance and configure core HR systems including support on Payroll systems
- Contribute ideas and suggestions on future enhancements and evaluation of existing system
- Participate with HR system projects (scope, design, testing, process and implementation)
- Lead system maintenance and business process architectures
- Complete assigned system processing and configuration activities - system maintenance, system testing, data checks, fault finding and trouble shooting and resolution
- Support others using systems which may include designing and delivering training, report configuration, and process documentation
- Configuration of reports that contain among other data elements, activities within system, demographics and possible projections for analysis
- Work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to continuously improve HR systems and delivery mechanisms.
- Maintain confidentiality of data and departmental information security at all times.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. or B.A. degree required or equivalent job related experience
- Minimum of eight years HR experience with two HRIS experience required with a focus on Workday preferred
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong report writing and data analysis skills using various applications
- Work experience supporting web-based applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer service orientation and ability to handle confidential information with the highest level of discretion
- Ability to work well on a team
- Willing to assume additional responsibilities as requested
- Ability to accept and facilitate change, whether indicated by corporate needs, market or regulatory requirements
- Excellent customer service skills with an ability to answer questions tactfully and diffuse difficult situations
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL CONSIDERATIONS:
- Able to operate a Personal Computer and view information on a monitor.
- Must be able to sit for many hours each day.
- Must be able to communicate via telephone and possess dexterity to include filing document, reaching and bending.
- May be required to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 10 pounds
- Ability to speak and understand English and express ideas and have difficult conversation in person and over the telephone
- Ability to listen and comprehend speech.
- Ability to problem solve, make decisions, interpret data and information, read, write and organize information in an orderly manner.
- Willing and able to travel occasionally as needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Normal business office environment.
- Ability to work in artificial light for extended periods of time.
