Job description
Reporting to the Leader, Supply Chain Finance, this position is a key Finance partner for both Darigold's Supply Chain and Finance functions. The role is a critical contributor and plays an active part in the execution of the business strategy, tracking, developing, and analyzing financially focused targets and ensuring effective deployment of capital. This person is a self-starter with extensive Finance and Supply Chain experience who can independently perform complex decision-support activities.
In addition, this role will serve as a champion of end-to-end process optimization by assessing, documenting, and maximizing the effectiveness and controls of critical steps throughout the process and across functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares, analyzes and delivers timely, accurate and consistent management reporting.
- Develops actionable, business insights from financial data based on an understanding of key drivers of business performance.
- Works collaboratively within the Finance function with other departments including Commercial and Operations FP&A teams to align on volume and related costs on an actual, forecast and budget basis.
- Actively participates in Supply Chain related projects, including developing supporting financial projections and related sensitivity analysis, and creating needed financial forecasts and models.
- Proactively document improvement opportunities within the business and focus management on most critical risks and opportunities, including identifying root cause issues.
- Partners with other finance and non-finance domains to ensure delivery of accurate data and reports; plays a key role in identification of data integrity improvement areas and opportunities for enhancing analytics capabilities
- Uses extensive and deep understanding of the business requirements and reporting, independently builds and integrates new KPIs and metrics into reports and dashboards to measure success, independently creates regular reports and dashboards to track performance against plan, budget, forecast and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Develop insightful presentations, bringing new ideas and perspectives to facilitate decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in either Finance or Accounting required
- Master's Degree in Business or Finance preferred
- CPA or CMA certification a plus
- 5+ years' relevant professional finance experience
- Experience with a food-manufacturing company preferred
- Able to operate as a key member of the Finance organization while at the same time supporting the needs of the Supply Chain team.
- Strategic thinker capable of sharing and implementing new ideas
- Ability to integrate and interpret disparate sources of data using a broad range of analytical data tools.
- Design, develop and implement value-added business analytics.
- Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, and visualization tools; Oracle experience desired.
- Able to understand the business and the key drivers of success.
