.Key Job Responsibilities:
Adherence to proper financial and audit controls.
* Budget, Sales & Labor management.
* Identify proper controls for stock rotation, quality of food offerings, and proper food quality and safety standards.
* Support maintaining inventory, stock levels, and waste management.
- Interviewing new employees and advising General Manager in regards to hiring decisions based on the store's needs (shift availability, skill sets and budget)
- Hiring, new hire info Scheduling to meet staff availability and the changing demands of fluctuations in sales and processing of incoming orders
- Develop and implement systems and processes related to hiring, ordering, stocking, general operations
- Enforce systems and policies, disciplinary actions when needed
- Communicate and streamline systems, ideas, etc. with other store manager
- Analyzing sales data and using it to inform purchasing decisions
* Drive Sales through outreach to the community and in store events.
- Maintain relationships with food vendors and distributors, understanding ordering procedures, product lines and delivery methods
- Monitor staff activities, ensuring that every shift is doing their fair share of cleaning, stocking shelves and serving customers
. * Maintain an effective and accurate POS system by inputting new inventory and product waste
- Regularly monitor sales data to determine inventory needs, predict future sales, and guide scheduling decisions.
- Recognize the skills and talents of all employees to ensure that they're feeling acknowledged and valued as individuals, look for opportunities for the company to benefit from their unique skills
. * Delegate sections to staff to promote and encourage personal investment in the store and foster responsibility.
- Monitor company communication logs to ensure that they're being used and useful
- Ensure clear lines of communication among each role, staff to Manager, Manager to General Manager,etc.; make sure each role has a point person, be the go to person for some of those roles
- Increase the staff's awareness of community events, vendor and supplier news and other relevant and timely information as needed
- Communicate with the General Manager of the company as well as the owners of the company to ensure that business practices reflect the wisdom of their guidance and the personality of the company
. * Maintain company wide inventory procedure that tracks waste and theft and reduces loss from spoilage.
- Work with OP and GM to create and implement (and revise) company wide training manual with the goal that business practices at each location are executed in the same way
. * Work with OP and GM to create forms and documents that ensure the professional and responsible management of the company, including a key policy, an alcohol serving policy, cash handling procedures,food safety procedures and food storage and labeling guidelines.
Required Skills/Background
At least 3 years in the coffee Service field including at least 3 years in management of a food service establishment or coffee shop.
Preferred At least 1 year in grocery sales and service
Knowledge of product ordering and inventory controls
- Highly motivated, creative individual with experience and a passion for connecting with current and future customers
. * Engage with customers on a daily basis, with the ultimate goal of turning fans into customers
- Relationship management experience
- High-level customer exposure
- Strong customer focus, with an ability to guide the organization to achieve goals that meet the customer's needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills * Ability to see the "big picture"
- Must demonstrate energy and enthusiasm in the workplace
- Must multi-task very well * Cost accounting knowledge
