Vice President, Bank Strategic Partnerships

This position is dynamic requiring extreme relationship building, negotiating, sales, entrepreneurial business development sills and understanding, as well as executive level leadership experience in liaising with the Banks Management and our Board including, intensive oversight of our strategic partners, the relationship and execution of the partner programs.. You will have 10 to 20 years experience in banking, finance, sales, business development with the acumen to lead and/or participate in a broad range of third-party management activities, including due diligence, implementation, and ongoing department oversight. The role is requires a strong people-centric leadership style as well as interpersonal and risk management skills, critical and strategic thinking, and the ability to understand a broad range of topics in a team environment. This is a significant leadership role within the Bank and only qualified applicants will be contacted.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Become a program and partner subject matter expert having a broad understanding of the Bank's partners, and of programs being managed.

· Lead and coordinate Strategic Partner Managers and team conducting in-depth due diligence and implementation of select programs.

· Primary Bank's point of contact for managing the day-to-day, oversight of the SP Department and Strategic Partnership Programs.

· Interact with Compliance to review the Strategic Partner's Compliance Management System, including review of customer facing material, training, testing and complaint management.

· In conjunction with Credit, review Partner financials, Program credit policy and associated models and applicable origination/portfolio reporting.

· Review servicing/collection components of the Strategic Partner's operations.

· Perform periodic site visits to review the Strategic Partner's adherence to the program agreement and applicable regulations.

· Facilitates risk assessments addressing program operational, strategic, credit, financial, regulatory compliance, and reputational risk.

· Assess Partner's dealer and vendor management programs as applicable.

· Coordinate activities related to Bank's own vendor management program.

· Lead, direct plan and/or participate in specific projects or initiatives or assist other senior partnership managers as necessary.

· Develop and promote opportunities to extend, expand or otherwise grow programs.

· Engage in Bank-level strategic discussions, planning and implementation of new business on a periodic basis.

· Set and monitor strategic and tactical goals for the department.

· Mentoring new and more junior SPMs and promote cross department effective communication and respect for internal client/service departments.

· Proactively look for and lead teambuilding and employee development activities.

· Oversee the risk management and relationship activities being conducted by SPMs for designated programs.

· Handle escalated matters with senior management at partners or internally.

· Attend annual business site visits and review associated reports prior to them being submitted to the BOD.

· Limited participation in Board meetings and interaction with auditors and examiners.

· Participate in:

· Employee performance reviews and recommendations.

· Bank-level strategic discussions.

· New prospect calls, meeting and assessment.

· Assist SVP of Strategic Partnerships as needed.

· Complete the above with little oversight from senior management.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree preferred (in business) and minimum 10 years of progressive experience in bank sponsorship.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in order to adapt approach and build trust, rapport and credibility with internal and external business relationships.
  • Decision-making skills to assess information and arrive at your own decision.
  • Leadership and teambuilding skills to reach consensus across multiple perspectives.
  • Project management skills to coordinate activities across business units.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills to gather/summarize broad and sometimes complex information, identify salient points and applicability of the information to multiple parties.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate information and objectives clearly and concisely. These communications can also require delivering difficult news firmly while maintaining a good working rapport.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Confident and upbeat even in the face of difficult situations.
  • A self-starter who is curious, exhibits strong attention to detail, good judgement and self-confidence.
  • Flexibility in schedule to accommodate, on occasion, work travel and longer work hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $112,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Schedule:
