Job Description
SUMMARY: This position reports to the PlantHR Manager. As an essential member of the Human Resources team, the HR Generalist will provide daily support to operations managers, supervisors, team leaders and employees. This position will oversee daily responsibilities associated with recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, employee engagement, and operational effectiveness, as well as assist with company-wide projects and initiatives.
OBJECTIVES:
- Provide daily support for assigned HR processes for Central Plant through the Interaction with Supervisors, Team Leaders and Employees.
- Assist Sr. HR Manager with roll out and implementation of new projects.
- Assist with the recruiting and onboarding of exempt level positions.
- Assist with the conversion process of hourly employees.
- Administer internal job bid process to include postings, selection and support for newly promoted individuals.
- Provide coaching and counseling to Supervisors and Team Leaders for effective employee interactions and support with HR processes.
- Provide employee relations support for hourly employees.
- Assist in developing and delivering HR trainings.
- Assist with developing and tracking HR metrics. Provide HR reports as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Requires four year degree inHuman Resources, Business Administration or other closely related field.
- Prefer at least 2 years' experience in an exempt level HR role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of HR principles and practices, familiarity with federal and state regulations. PHR or other HR certification preferred.
- Prior experience with an HRIS system preferred.
- Able to work on 2nd shift as needed for operations support.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; friendly and professional demeanor.
- Attention to detail and thorough follow through, ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality, sensitivity, and security of information.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (ie Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
