POSITION SUMMARY:

The People Support Specialist's primary responsibility is to facilitate People Support processes by assisting with tasks associated with termination of employment. Additionally, key success criteria will include providing excellent customer service to all colleagues and work to create positive impressions of Sound Physicians and building trust and respect of the regional and field colleagues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Primary contact for colleagues exiting the organization with a responsibility to escalate concerns to manager or director of People Support as appropriate.
Assesses situations and escalates to manager or director of PS as appropriate. Provides good business judgment and errs on the side of caution when needed.
Responsible for tracking all terminations, ensuring proactive reach out efforts to colleagues
Responsible for determining any funds owed due to Sound prior to exit, drafting letters, communicating funds owed to colleagues, assisting with arrangements to pay back funds, and coordinating as needed with Payroll/Accounting.
Ensures CIF is requested and any revised termination date CIFs are issued.
Processing the termination in Ultimate.
Ensuring exit documentation is saved electronically via Ultimate as well as other shared resources, as appropriate.
Ensures excellent customer service by conducting thoughtful exit interviews and discussions.
Responsible for processing all terminations, in coordination or at the direction of manager (director and VP) of People Support.
Archive colleague evaluations, employment agreements, and employment files.
Confirm termination dates are accurate, request IT accesses to be removed timely and assist with return of company equipment.
Assumes responsibility for employment file completion and accuracy.
Tracks all types of communications with colleague. Identifies potential problem areas and recommends/implements solutions as appropriate.
Keep regional team advised of funds owed efforts and escalate any uncollected funds to collections
Assists with the annual benefits renewal open enrollment process.
Actively participates in colleague events and assists with coordinating such events.
Perform other administrative duties and special projects as assigned by manager.
Provide administrative support to director of People Support as needed.
Other projects or duties as assigned.
III. SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Excellent customer service skills (understands "customer experience")
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of relevant state and federal laws, including COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, and FMLA
Knowledge of HRIS, preferably Ultimate
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Able to handle confidential material in a reliable manner
Excellent organizational abilities
Attention to detail and accuracy
Creative and persistent problem solver
Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations and confidential information. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, diplomacy, and good judgment.

eDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Education
Minimum: Associates Degree or equivalent business experience
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree with certification in Human Resources or equivalent experience

Minimum:
3+ years human resources administration, exposure to additional HR areas
2+ years customer service center or call center experience
2+ years experience working with HRIS systems
2+ years employee benefit plan administration preferred
