Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is currently seeking a Supplier Mission Assurance Engineer 2/3 to join our team in Rocket Center, WV just outside of Cumberland, MD. The Allegany Ballistics Laboratory (ABL) site in Rocket Center designs, develops and manufactures tactical rocket motors, medium caliber ammunition, composite components and end items, and fuze and electronics equipment. For decades, the dedicated and highly skilled team at ABL have supported national security efforts by developing and building defense systems for DoD customers and U.S. allies.

Position Summary:

Monitors Supplier processes and performance to ensure mission success. Evaluates and assures supplier, quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, in accordance with contractual requirements. Assesses supplier performance and risks, and determines methodology to ensure mission assurance.

Basic Qualifications Level 2:

Must have 6 years of related experience. Will consider a bachelors degree with 2 years of related experience or a masters degree with 0 years of experience

Basic Qualifications Level 3:

Must have 9 years of related experience. Will consider a bachelors degree with 5 years related of experience or a masters degree with 3 years of related experience

Additional Qualifications:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisite.
Basic knowledge and understanding of Process Failure Modes Effects Analysis
Able to travel a significant percentage of time, (50% Minimum)
Able to work in both external and internal environmental conditions
Excellent collaboration skills in team environment
Ability to negotiate and integrate different viewpoints
Able to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result
Able to provide direction to determine priorities to achieve goals
Ability to make decisions that positively impact the organization's credibility, operations and services
Able to prepare and analyze data and figures
Ability to identify sequence of operations or action to be taken
Candidates should have demonstrated competencies in the following: Customer Focus, Resiliency, Drives Results and Drives Engagement

Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer candidates with a BS in Engineering or related STEM degree such as Physics, Math or Materials SciencePrefer candidates with an Engineering degree
Previous experience as a Quality Engineer
Previous experience having responsibility and oversight of multiple products and/or processes
Knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 quality standards
Experience working with suppliers in an aerospace or automotive environment

Salary Range: 64144 - 96126
Salary Range 2: 79420 - 119130

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
