DUTIES

The Commercial Loan Officer is responsible for managing a commercial loan portfolio including sourcing new loans, managing renewals of existing loans and making referrals to other lines of business (wealth management, treasury services, insurance). Additional duties would involve meeting production goals as determined annually by the regional leadership, in new commercial loans or enhancing commercial loan relationships. Participate in specific initiatives developed by management to include loan & relationship pricing that meets or exceeds bank ROE goals. Properly structure new loan requests ensuring that the credit is within the credit policy and is structured to meet the needs of the customer. Represent the customer and the associated loan(s) and clearly articulate the rational for the loan request to the Senior Credit Committee. Cultivate relationships with retail and small business lenders to facilitate a smooth transitions for referrals for commercial loans and conversely, referrals for personal/consumer products for commercial customers

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent education and experience

Five years of banking experience with progressive responsibilities in small business or commercial lending

Proven record of meeting financial and/or lending goals

Strong understanding of credit, financial statements and concepts such as cash flow and ratio analysis

Demonstrated proficiency using banking platforms and common office software and systems

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ability to meet deadlines while working independently

Strong attention to detail

Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
