Apex Systems is looking for a Payroll Analyst to help with a 12+ month long contract.

Significant in house payroll experience
High attention to detail
Quick learner
Experience with processing garnishments
Ability to follow process documentations exactly
Nice to have PeopleSoft or Workday
Overall 2-5 years payroll experience

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Primary Accountabilities
• Conducts on-going transactional and procedural activities in accordance with defined payroll
operational procedures in an accurate and timely fashion. Prepares procedure and end user
documentation.
• Responds to payroll data requests.
• Responsible for scheduling and monitoring of all payroll processes, including evaluation of error
messages and taking the appropriate steps to resolve issues to ensure valid processing. Conducts
system test plans.
• Responsible for completion of all payroll tax returns and responding to external agency requests
for information and clarification.
• Responsible for conducting garnishment research and analysis, processing and reporting.
• Communicates with human resources management systems (HRMS) operations staff and the
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) support organization in diagnosing and resolving any HRMS
issues or problems and questions.
• Provides feedback and suggestions on operational procedure and process changes to improve
overall operational efficiency.

Supervision
• Performs work under the direct supervision of a Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, knowledge, skills and/or abilities required to perform this job.

Educational Requirements
Education Level Bachelor's Degree
Field of Study: Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, or related area
Required/Preferred - Preferred

Required Experience
• 2 years of experience, with 1 year of in-house payroll processing experience.
