Able Child Africa works alongside partner organisations in East Africa to improve the lives of children and young people with disabilities. This is achieved by working in partnership with local organisations in Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi and Zambia to provide direct services as well as by building local capacity. With over 30 years of experience, Able Child Africa is the leading NGO working exclusively with, and on behalf of, children with disabilities in Africa, some of the most marginalised children in the world.

About the role

Working within with our finance and operations team, you will support in managing the finance, operational and administrative functions of the organisation. Reporting to the Finance and Operations Manager or CEO, you will lead the day-to-day management of organisational finances, responsible for bookkeeping and reconciliations. You will ensure the financial management of the organisation is robust and effective, following financial procedures and identifying potential errors or risks.

You will also provide administrative support to the governance, IT and HR functions of the organisation, ensuring a positive and healthy working culture across the organisation. You will take a lead on maintaining and developing our organisational systems, from Office 365 to Salesforce, implementing updates and new developments that support the organisation become more efficient and effective in what it does.

With excellent time management and organisational skills; you will demonstrate the ability to deliver quality work sometimes under pressure. You will be detail focussed, able to juggle multiple priorities, while maintaining a good level of communication across the team.

Contractual Terms

Location: Central London

Hours: Flexible, between 4 and 5 days a week

Term: Permanent

Reporting to: Finance and Operations Manager or CEO

Salary Range:£28,372 to £31,325

Annual Leave: 25 days per annum

Pension: Matching contribution to organisation's pension provider up to 5%
