About the Role
Reporting to a member of the relationship management team this exciting role sits in our investment team, identifying, targeting and building a network of relevant organisations, encouraging applications from the widest possible range to our funding programmes, featuring loans and grants.
It is central to our outreach, building relationships with well-connected umbrella organisations rooted in communities up and down the UK, and supporting them to introduce charities and social enterprises to the right kind of funding. Our ambition is to have the best and widest ranging set of partner networks, nurturing our existing relationships and building new ones.
At the start of 2022 SIB will be launching a programme to provide dedicated funding and support to Black and Minority-Led organisations. Part of this role will involve working with partners who have great expertise, experience and reach into those communities
As well as the external perspective, it will involve leveraging the great experience across our organisation, working across our Teams to identify new opportunities.
You will balance managing a healthy and high-performing pipeline of applications with nurturing relationships with our broker network.
Key responsibilities
1. Identifying, targeting and building a network of relevant organisations, and supporting them to introduce a wide range of charities and social enterprises to our funding programmes, featuring loans and grants.
2. Work with partners to bring our funding to organisations in communities throughout the UK including those that have been historically underserved by funders.
3. Undertake initial eligibility screening of funding applications against eligibility criteria and where appropriate introduce them to a relationship manager to fully assess.
4. Balance your time managing a healthy pipeline of funding applications from charities and social enterprises with nurturing relationships with our partner and introducer networks.
5. Track and report on referred funding applications internally and externally.
6. Attend and present at external events and webinars.
7. To work within the organisation's processes and procedures required to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system.
8. Contribute to the knowledge management, equality, diversity and inclusion and learning priorities in SIB's strategy and support the implementation and delivery of the strategy.
9. In agreement with manager to undertake other tasks that support the objectives of SIB as required.

· Track record of generating new loan and/or grant applications through building external relationships
