Barkingside, Greater London, United Kingdom
Job type: fulltime
Job industry: HR / Recruitment
Job description
London Bridge - office based with some remote working
What the job involves
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and flexible People & Performance (HR) Coordinator - who's happy to roll their sleeves up - to play an integral role in providing a first-class employee experience that supports employee wellbeing and engagement, and the achievement of our strategic objectives and business plan. Working collaboratively with the wider People & Culture team to provide a customer focussed delivery, you'll take ownership for all transactional processes relating to the entire employee journey, including onboarding, variations to existing terms and leavers. You'll handle basic queries relating to terms and conditions, employee benefits, the HRIS, policies and pay - responding directly or directing them to appropriate colleagues in the team.
Following the implementation of our new HR system (CIPHR), you'll be instrumental in the effective management of our people data. Working closely with our internal 'system expert' to ensure managers and employees use the system to maximum effect - you'll be in a great position to spot opportunities for additional functionality that meets their needs.
Part of a busy team, in a fast paced and demanding environment, this is a hands-on role which is all about the detail - so naturally, understanding the importance of getting the basics right is key! There will also be lots of opportunities to develop and grow your knowledge as an active member of cross-organisational project or working groups focusing on EDI, Wellbeing or Employee Experience (to name just a few!).
What we want from you
We're looking for a people orientated, self-motivated and hands on professional, who is committed to a career in HR, and experienced in providing excellent operational services within a busy HR/People team. You'll need to have strong interpersonal skills and integrity, be able to communicate well with others and quickly build credibility. It's a given that you'll understand the importance of confidentiality and discretion when working in a trusted role with access to highly sensitive information and effectively managing a busy and varied workload won't be anything new to you.
You'll have awareness of best practice and the principles of employment law alongside a good understanding of the principles of GDPR and how they relate to communicating, storing and processing employee data. Whether you've worked on CIPHR before (or not), you'll have flexible digital skills and confidence using HR systems that you can leverage through your system training, and beyond.
