Public Law Advisory Lawyer

12 month Locum Contract - Full time

£26.25 - £35 per Hour

London, Currently Remote then Hybrid-Working (2 days in office)

A Public Law Advisory Lawyer is required to join the Central Government team to provide high quality and supportive advisory services. My client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who is an experienced Public Law Advisory Lawyer to join their Government team on an initial 12 month contract with the likelihood of extension.

As a Public Law Advisory Lawyer, you will be working on a variety of projects relating to general public law principles. These Departments cover multiple areas of law therefore will consider candidates from a broad background.

Key Responsibilities of the Public Law Advisory Lawyer

Good research and organisational skills;
Team working skills while being able to work autonomously;
Attention to detail; reliable legal judgment and appreciation of legal risk; sound analysis,
Using secure legal research to produce timely and fit for purpose advice;
The ability to get up to speed with a new area of law.
Experience of public law is a real benefit and knowledge of EU or international law

Required Skills and experience of the Public Law Advisory Lawyer

Qualified as a Solicitor or Barrister (or equivalent).
Minimum 2 years Post-Qualified Experience.
Public Law Experience is preferred.
Knowledge of EU or International Law is preferred.
