Job Description
The Vice President / Senior Vice President will help lead their Consumer Direct Investing (primarily private equity) capability in the UK & Europe, including deal origination, execution and support in asset management activities. This is an opportunity to conduct international business in an entrepreneurial environment, within the global platform.

Deal Management

• Develop a strong and meaningful opportunity pipeline
• Build, manage and nurture relationships with current and prospective external partners and investors, and key industry players, at a global level
• Act as a deal captain by supervising the activities of junior deal team members and leading the end-to-end deal process, from origination to execution. This will typically entail:
• Driving the opportunity identification process by sourcing and screening of new opportunities in alignment with the investment strategy and screening criteria
• Supervising and quality assuring the financial modelling and economic / investment returns analysis and valuation,
• Driving the deal-delivery process and collaborating with cross-functional deal teams to finalize commercial, technical, financial, operational, tax and legal due diligence processes
• Leading negotiations with prospective partners
• Collaborating and leading with cross-functional deal teams to structure the deal, prepare and close all required documentation such as NDA, MOUs, Term Sheet, SPA, etc.
• Coordinating and leading the production of Investment Committee reports and packs, from both a quantitative and qualitative perspective

• Act as a day-to-day asset manager for portfolio assets. This may entail:
• Working collaboratively with the asset's management team to shape and develop a strategy as well as operational and financial targets (including value creation initiatives and drivers) and ensure alignment with the initial investment business case
• Supporting, and when required, be a member of the asset's Board and the Board Committees to address core business issues and providing management with the necessary guidance
• Reviewing and assessing business risks and ensuring effective plans are in place to manage and mitigate risks
• Elevating critical risk and mitigation to the Investment Company's senior management team promptly
• Monitoring, tracking and reporting on operational and financial performance
• Developing and evaluating asset monetization/exit strategies

Leadership

• Manage direct reports to ensure work is carried out in an effective and efficient manner, in line with the annual business plan, and policies and procedures
• Develop, mentor and coach team members, and actively seek opportunities to develop oneself and others

Minimum Experience:

• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in progressively more complex and senior roles in top-tier investment banking, management consulting or private equity out of which the majority should be within an investing / buyside role.

Knowledge, Skills and Values:

• Sector experience ideally in consumer, however business services and technology will be viewed favourably
• Positive attitude that values both professional excellence and basic human values
• Quantitative skills and experience performing financial modelling and analyses (e.g., to assess business performance and support views on valuation)
• Ability to conduct market / business research, synthesize data and clearly communicate insights
• Strong work ethic and team player who can manage multiple workstreams under time pressure as required
• European languages will be viewed favourably.
