Job description

We are looking to recruit an Electrical Technician to work on a Energy from Waste plant based in South London working 40 hours per week Mon - Fri.

You will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all the electrical equipment at the Energy Recovery Facility (ERF), providing support to other disciplines as necessary, using experience and skills. You will assist in the co-ordination of contractors as required, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

You will be responsible for ensuring that maintenance plans and targets are achieved safely, economically and within the environmental limits of the plant. You will carry out fault diagnosis and rectify as required.

This position will require response to plant and equipment breakdowns, both during normal working hours and outside of normal working hours. We require a flexible approach to ensure that vital work is achieved timely and accurately. There will be times when some weekends, nights and bank holidays will have to be worked.

The ideal Electrical Technician will have the following skills & experience:

Experience in Industrial Electrical maintenance within the process industry or on power generation plants .
Ability to conduct Electrical fault finding & repairs on plant items.
Experience working with Computerised Maintenance Management (CMMS) systems.
Appropriate technical qualifications, City & Guilds/NVQ (or equivalent).
Understanding of environmental and health and safety issues and their impacts.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels, both verbally and written.The position offers a competitive basic salary package circa £44k plus bonus, on-call allowance and overtime opportunities and a range of other company benefits including: pension, healthcare and lifestyle benefits.

The site location is close to the M25 / M23 & M3 motorway network and is easily commutable from the South London, Surrey, Sussex & Kent areas.
