Assistant Service Manager - Restaurant

40 hours, 5 days out 7

We are BaxterStorey, an independent hospitality food service provider operating in the UK, Ireland and Europe specialising in restaurants, cafes, deli bars and exclusive dining rooms for clients and customers in business and industry.

Assistant Service Manager - Restaurant requirements:

Look after all recruitment and training for your department, assess the performance of all staff in order to establish training needs and development potential
Ensure that all standards of food preparation and service are established in line with client expectations, that they are consistently achieved, reviewed and updated in line with current requirements
Be aware of changing needs of customers and to develop new products and systems accordingly
Deliver a prompt and efficient provision of all schedule services
Control and achieve department financial targets, making recommendations for improving efficiency
Be aware of all standards on site , ensuring at all staff adhere to the Food, Health & Safety regulations
Attend Catering Committee/management meetings when required

What would we like from our Assistant Service Manager - Restaurant?

Successful Hospitality background in catering, ideally within Contract Catering
Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate or above
Excellent Management experience
Ability to display a real passion for food and customer service
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan ahead
Demonstrate analytical approach to problem solving
Ability to work on own initiative
Excellent communicator at all levels
Financially and commercially astute
