My client is a well-known Public-sector organisation who occupy a large estate in the City of London. The estate is utilised for a wide range of uses including offices, retail, restaurants, events & entertainment. They are currently looking to recruit a Building Services Manager to join the team and provide technical leadership to a team of 26 in-house Engineers as well as external providers.

You will oversee and advise on the operation and condition of all plant and systems across the estate. Working closely with the Head of Engineering, be responsible for a variety of key tasks including, updating the 20-Year Forward Maintenance Plans for the buildings, plant and systems and prioritising project works for the annual Cyclical Works Programme (CWP), oversee and advise on improvements to systems and processes, deliver local and corporate energy efficiency targets and actively contribute to the sustainability strategy and initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be Degree qualified in Building Services with membership to a relevant professional institution(s) e.g. CIBSE, IMechE. You will also have a Health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH and a thorough understanding of essential building systems e.g. heating\/cooling systems, air handling, refrigeration, electrical\/lighting, water, systems.
