PV Photovoltaic Solar Panel Installer Engineer - Caribbean
Working based in Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands to lead a Solar Installation Team to work in and around the Islands. Work permit provided.
With full support from the wider team, the PV installer/engineer, will be taking the lead on all of the installation of domestic and commercial projects. They will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of: the mounting system, modules, all DC/AC cabling, inverters, batteries and connection to the distribution switchgear.
Projects range from small and larger domestic installations to large commercial project through the islands.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience installing and commissioning solar photovoltaic installations.
Must have experience and be qualified to install and commission electrical installations (domestic and commercial).Have experience with managing small teams of operators and be comfortable interacting with clients.
Job Duties:·
Installation of renewable energy technologies·
Be part of the design process of all Solar installations.
Lead a team ensuring that all systems are installed to a high standard and delivered on time and are compliant with our design documentation which·
Once the installation is completed you will be required to test and commission the AC/DC systems confirming the system is safe and in working order and to industry standards.·
" Completing all commissioning routines and tests for certification and sign off of projects·
" Make sure all electrical work complies with current regulations and site-specific RAMS·
" Communicate and assist any electrical aspects of the project designs and surveys·
" Assist the team on larger National project as and when required·
" Maintain a strong level of communication with the management team·
" Project and installation photos are logged and sent to the relevant personnel
" Familiar with Battery storage systems from 10kwh to upwards of 100kwh
Essential Criteria
" Previous customer service experience.
" Professional and polite at all times,
" Proactive and self-motivated,
" Strong English language (reading, writing and spoken) proficiency
Desirable Criteria:
" Inspection, Testing & Designing both Solar Arrays and Battery Systems
" Solar PV/Battery/EV experience Inspection & Testing experience
Role location Based in Providenciales
12 Monthly Work Permit, National Insurance, National Health Insurance, and Company Phone & Vehicle included. There are no Income taxes
Training will be also available, either through online or through residential courses.
Hours of Employment Full time, 8am - 5pm hours per week Monday - Friday: Occasional Weekend work where required on tight project deadlines
Holiday: The Employee is entitled to 20 days holiday per year plus bank holidays
Remuneration: Salary - $60,000 per annum (dependent upon experience and qualifications)
