Job Title - Kinship Consultant, Policy Research, & Development Team

Contract - Permanent

Hours - 28-35 hours per week

Salary - £45,000 pa pro rata

CoramBAAF is the leading professional membership body for family placement policy and practice development. Dedicated to improving outcomes for children and young people in care by supporting the agencies and professionals who work with them, primarily in the UK but also internationally. Coram BAAF supports and represent its members, champion best practice, and provides high quality policy and practice guidance advice, training and resources.

About the role

Kinship care policy and practice is developing rapidly as the number of children in kinship care continues to increase, with more than ever before placed with family and friends' carers. We are looking for a Kinship Consultant to help build on and drive our significant presence in this area.

The Kinship Consultant will enhance best practice in care planning and kinship care for looked after children across the UK by providing expert consultation to member agencies to build their capacity and capability in accordance with evidence, as well as improve outcomes and meet emerging needs. They will also play a key role in influencing stakeholders to improve legislation, policy and practice.
