Your new role

We have an exciting new position for a Marketing Manager to join our spirited Communications team, who lead on all marketing and communications activities for the hospice - covering the effective promotion of our clinical services, St Christopher's CARE (our education offer), fundraising appeals, our charity shops and commercial partnerships.

As the Marketing Manager, you will take a leading role in driving an insight-driven, integrated and innovative approach to delivering marketing campaigns that put our audiences at the heart. You will be responsible for working with teams across the hospice to design and deliver creative, multi-channel marketing plans, to achieve the greatest possible impact for the charity and the people we support which includes achieving ambitious income and sign-up targets.

To succeed in this role

  • You will have substantial marketing experience and digital marketing prowess with strong experience of developing engaging multichannel content for a range of audiences as well as developing and implementing innovative and successful marketing and communications strategies.
  • You will be a creative thinker who is adept at dreaming up fresh, innovative and engaging campaigns with the ability to put yourself in the shoes of others so the creative captures the attention of the intended audience and encourages action.
  • A natural project manager you will have experience running large scope projects across departments and motivating project teams ensuring everyone completes the tasks required of them on time and to a high standard.
  • You will have the ability to present and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively at all levels across a broad range of audiences, contexts, medium and channels and be adept at building strong working relationships and advising colleagues on measuring success, channel planning and efficient marketing.
  • It is important that you possess strong experience in setting meaningful metrics, using analytics and using agile marketing tactics to deliver successful campaigns.
  • You will possess strong copywriting skills with the ability to generate insightful articles, website copy and other marketing collateral. You will also have excellent attention to detail - you will be the one that picks up mistakes in articles and wonders why no one stopped it getting through.
