Sea Freight Customer Care Specialist

Are you an experienced logistics individual that has Sea Freight expertise? Do you have customer care / account management experience too? Do you have experience of building relationships with customers face to face as well as on the phone / email?

A global Freight forwarder (one of the largest in world) are looking to recruit an experienced customer care specialist to be working on site* with a client on an MOD contract. (*mix of site based and working from home)

The purpose of this role is to be directly responsible for communication with your customer, providing a high level of customer service and managing accounts. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to build meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders whilst being proactive in everything you do and being a problem solver.

To be considered for this role you will have Sea Freight Imports experience and ideally a good working knowledge of UK customs clearance process. Whilst not essential, it would be

You are responsible for ensuring that your customers experience is a positive one each time they have an engagement with yourself and the company.

Your duties will include:

Work as part of a team providing a quality service to your client
Build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Manage operational files from start to finish
Assist customers with shipments, arrivals, clearances, and deliveries
Manage all customs activities on this MOD contract
Accurately record data
Be proactive
Manage your diary in a timely fashion

For this role hybrid working is an option: 2 or 3 days per week from home and 2 or 3 days per week working on site in Southampton.

Salary £25-30K basic + package

23 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays (This increases with longevity of service)
