Civil Engineering Project Manager

Permanent - North West

Up to £55,000 per annum plus package

As a retained recruitment solution for a large, regional Civil Engineering contractor, we are now looking to recruit a Project Manager with proven experience in heavy civils, structures, wastewater, highways, groundworks and other associated civil engineering works throughout the North West. With large scale frameworks and stand alone projects, the client have a very healthy pipeline going into a remarkably busy 2022 for all areas of the company, especially within utilities, heavy civils and highways.

As the successful candidate you must have the ability to manage construction projects in both local authority and private development sectors and should have at least five years' experience of successfully managing projects from £0.5m to £5.0m in value.

You will carry out various tasks collaboratively with all aspects of the project presence, including the client, design partners, internal staff, sub-contractors, operatives and other professionals. Additionally, you will be responsible for all aspects of health and safety, quality and environmental assurance, contract administration, cost control, planning, communication and people management.

Key Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

· Experience in excavation/ groundworks/ concreting/ drainage/ highways

· Minimum 5 years' experience in a site supervisory role

· HNC/HND/Degree qualification in construction-related studies

· Minimum Gold Card CSCS accreditation

· SMSTS 5-day accreditation

· Full Clean Driving Licence

· Good understanding of the CDM regulations

· Good understanding of NEC Form of Contracts
