It has an extensive product range which includes high pressure water jetting/cleaning; brewery equipment; waste bin cleansing; and permanently installed factory hygiene systems.

The company has a vacancy for the key role of skilled Mechanical/Electrical Assembly Engineer in its production/assembly department at Acle, between Norwich and Great Yarmouth. The work takes place in a pleasant and modern work environment with good quality welfare facilities.

Under the overall control of the Assembly Supervisor, the job involves:-

The mechanical/electrical assembly of equipment within the company's product range, principally high pressure water cleaning units and associated products.
Liaison with stores to ensure the correct components are available to meet sales and production requirements.
Testing of completed products.
Completing and maintaining supporting documentation
Working closely with the Assembly Supervisor and other company staff to produce a quality product while constantly looking for opportunities to improve the assembly process.
Working within, and assisting to further develop, the Company's combined Quality and Environmental Management systems (QMS/EMS)Specifics

Use of various hand and air/electric powered tools involved in the assembly process.
Placing of components in the assembly area, which are on benches for smaller items and at floor level for larger ones.
Take assembly information and component parts to produce completed machines.
Action instructions received from the Assembly Supervisor
Work in an efficient and effective manner to achieve timely product assembly to a high standard and "right first time".
Remove completed products from assembly area to stores.
Working with other staff/departments to ensure customers' needs are met
Testing of completed products to ensure compliance with safety and operational requirements.
Maintaining and developing documentation, both electronic and by hand.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

An interest and aptitude toward all things mechanical/electrical.
Experience in a similar role or a willingness to learn.
Ideally an engineering/electrical/production qualification to Level 2 or 3 or equivalent
Understanding of drawings and written instructions.
Safe and effective use of hand and small power tools
Computer literate and ability to use Microsoft Office programs
