Job description

Our client a very successful Design and Manufacturer of efficient electric process control systems is looking for an experienced CNC Machine Shop Supervisor, alternatively an Engineering Supervisor with CNC Machining experience.

Package

Monday- Thursday 08:00- 16:30 and Friday 08:00- 15:30
Circa £14 per hour plus overtime
£29,000 - £30,000 OTE

Primary Purpose of Job:

Ensure that all Personnel working or visiting the Machine Shop comply with all Health, Safety, and Fire & Environment policy's at all times.
Ensure that all Personnel working or visiting the Machine Shop comply with all Risk, COSHH and Manual Handling Assessments at all times.
Ensure that all machining of equipment & parts are in accordance with the Quality System and Quality Policy.
Setting up, programming and operation of HAAS Vertical Machining Centres.
Use of One CNC programming software
Using Microsoft dynamix software for processing of WIP and completing works orders
Manual machining using Radial Drills and Centre Lathes
Using overhead Pedestal crane to load work pieces
Monitoring and reordering of consumables and tooling
Ensure waste and chippings are segregated and stored appropriately.
Liaising with the Senior Project Engineers, Planner, Purchasing and Stores to ensure that production outputs are met.
Verifies Technical documentation for accuracy and reports any issues to Production/Project management as soon as possible.
Reporting and resolving of job discrepancies.
Prioritising and scheduling of machining orders in conjunction with the Production Planner.
Marshalling and distribution of materials for production requirements.
Ensure machines and facilities are maintained to ensure production can be executed effectively.
Cleaning down of the Machine Shop area 30 mins prior to cease work on the last working day of each week.
General assembly of electrical heating equipment where workload permits
The Employee shall devote the whole of his/her time, attention and skill to his/her duties hereunder and in addition such other duties as may from time to time be reasonably required of him/her for the proper and efficient running of the Employer's business.

Knowledge, skills and experience

Knowledge of CNC Setting, Programming and Operation.
Knowledge of Haas machines.Skills

Must be a competent in CNC programming and operating or a similar discipline.
Computer literate
Experienced with MS Office products
Ability to understand engineering drawings and tolerancesExperience

3 years minimum experience working in an engineering / manufacturing environmentQualification

Desired minimum Level 3 Qualification in CNC Programming and Operation
