This role will involve order entry and some dispensing of prescriptions for specialist therapies for patients at home. Additional duties will involve patient stock takes and general admin including prescription management and invoicing. Working hours are 9:00am to 5:30pm., Monday to Friday.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInbound and outbound callsPrescription receiptSmall volume and large volume product order entry on the PMRPrescription management/tracking of faxesPatient stock takeHomecare delivery planning/phoning - advising of delivery/timeslots/ clinical waste collectionPrescription checklist management (co-ordinator sections only)Liaison with Nursing teamPrescription receipt, accurate and timely entry on PMR (entry on PMR and order creation within 30 minutes)Accurate dispensing - this will include timely reporting of near misses and dispensing errors (immediate reporting of dispensing errors to RP or operations manager)Maintain patient confidentiality at all timesPatient stock take for any treatmentAdministrative tasks including archiving and invoicingAdhered to standard operating procedures and follow instructions from the RP, duty pharmacist or operations managerEducation & ExperienceThe person should have either completed or be willing to undertake training to complete an approved dispensary assistants' course NVQ2 or 3.
