This role sits in the sales development team generating new business in key strategic accounts and territories. You'll be given the freedom to plan and craft your own outbound campaigns and be encouraged to use and develop a skill set of email, phone, direct mail, account-based marketing, video and LinkedIn.Learn about 'A day in the life in Outbound' here.Role ProgressionWithin 1 month, you'll:Meet everyone in our friendly sales team to learn from their experiences selling to schools and trusts and join several sales meetingsUnderstand how Arbor's Management Information System saves teachers time and improves outcomes in schoolsYou'll learn first-hand what's important to school leaders and what makes them tick by qualifying inbound leads for a monthWe'll train you in Arbor's house-style, branding, email writing and messaging so that you can prospect in the Arbor voiceWithin 3 months, you'll:Be supported in booking opportunities for Arbor in key growth areas and accounts, working alongside your Business Development teammateBe an expert in writing and communicating in line with Arbor's house style and brand valuesSupporting on delivering an outbound campaign using various channelsFully trained on how we use Hubspot in sales developmentEstablishing your product knowledge by attending our online customer festival ArborFest, product launches, and more sales meetings!Contributing ideas and techniques into how we create our outbound campaignsGain full access Sales Impact Academy's excellent online sales training courses to learn from some of the best in the Software as a Service industryWithin 6 months, you'll:Working with your outbound partner to plan and deliver targeted, successful and ambitious campaigns into our highest value accountsUsing Hubspot to analyse, track and manage the success of your own campaigns - reporting your results, evaluation and ideas for next time to the Head of Sales DevelopmentWorking as part of a small team that plays to everyone's strengths, shaping the direction of how we develop new business for Arbor and your own professional developmentAbout youYou have prior experience in inbound or outbound sales development, recruitment or software salesYou're creative and like to tell stories, you can empathise with your customer and use your written, verbal and visual communication skills to put value propositions in front of the right peopleYou're fascinated by how things work inside your prospect's organisation, you're curious about the challenges, infrastructure, roles, and objectives of your clientsYou're analytical and excellent at evaluating your own work, you are thorough and consistent when it comes to executing your plansYou want to work in a fast-paced scale-up on a mission to transform the way schools work!Meet the crew!We asked them - what's your favourite thing about working in Sales Development at Arbor?What we offer:Uncapped commission in the Sales Development Team with an average of £16,000 in annual commission and discretionary performance bonuses when stretch targets are achievedOur Sales Development Team works to one, shared target - in keeping with a company culture of collaboration, teamwork and sharing one mission.
