Job Summary:

Business Analysts are responsible for engaging with the business on behalf of the Technology team. The Business Analyst strives to understand business needs and define technology and service requirements to maximize delivery of business value. The Business Analyst translates business needs into requirements that Technology can use to design and develop solutions; they will also assist with compiling project status and executive updates.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate requirements sessions with Business and Technology Partners.
  • Create Business Process Maps to document current and future state processes.
  • Create and maintain strong relationship with Business Partners and project team members.
  • Work closely with Manager to manage any required changes in project scope.
  • Effectively communicate requirements with Technology team.
  • Provide periodic updates to executives regarding project/program status.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience in business analysis techniques, such as information gathering methods, requirements documentation, process modeling and process mapping.
  • Strong Business Communication skills, both written and verbal, targeting audiences at many levels in the organization, including senior executives.
  • Thrives working in a fast-past environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • High-energy and fast-learner that is flexible and able to manage requirements across multiple releases and teams.
  • Ability to work either independently or closely with others as the needs of the project dictates. Must maintain a customer service and quality focus at all times.
  • Must be highly adaptable to perform in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to apply business analysis techniques, such as information gathering methods, requirements documentation, process modeling and process mapping.
  • Good understanding of all stages in a project lifecycle and delivery approaches, e.g. agile, scrum.
  • Facilitation, flexibility, ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, proactively identify opportunities, strong influence, change management, strategy and tactical skills.
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience translating business process into use cases, user stories, process maps, data flows, and diagrams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including coaching, collaborating, and communication.
  • 4+ years' experience working for a large technology program or initiative with multiple teams across multiple environments ranging from Agile (SCRUM, KANBAN) to Iterative and Waterfall.
  • Proficient/Expert using Office 365 products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, Planner), SharePoint 2
  • Demonstrated experience in relevant tools: Clarity or other PPM tool, Microsoft Suite including Visio, ALM, Cloud based collaborations tools, Version One, Jira etc.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of operations management and the hospitality industry
  • Familiarity with configurations and workflows within Salesforce or other CRM tools/systems

Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/MIS or equivalents.
