The role will collectively review available company material with manager and gather necessary documentation from various departments to make approved amendments. Validation of documentations will be captured through multiple trial cycles with accuracy. Support production with engineering support as stipulated below

Role and Responsibilities

• Accurately develops and/or corrects technical documentation from source material gathered from existing work instructions and engineering documents and resources to formally validate operator work instructions and sequence of operations for sub-assembly and assembly departments
• Interfaces with production manager, engineers, product specialists and technicians
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics and detailed engineering specifications is required.
• Must be proficient with a personal computer and various software including desktop publishing (MS Publisher), spreadsheet (MS Excel), word processing (MS Word), illustration (Adobe Illustrator/Adobe Photoshop), and database programs (MS Access). Statistical Tools & Solidworks and/or CAD experience is a plus
• Strict adherence to using Quality Assurance Plans and Standard Operating Procedures, and releasing WI's through the standard ECN process as applicable
• Support Lean Manufacturing Events, exercises and at times lead Kaizen Events
• Support with Training Operators on Seq of Op's, Detailed Assy and Sub-Assy steps and as Manager directs
• Support with tooling selection, justification, qualification, implementation, and control as required
• Support with maintenance of equipment, tooling, fixtures/jigs, including, including designing, development, and implementation of tooling/fixtures as applicable
• Support test department with feasibility, justification, test development & validation, including modifications as needed
• Support with Drawing & Redline activity, including validation prior to ECN signoff/review, and implementing in an effective manner on the production floor
• Support MRB with root cause analysis, corrective / preventative action, and expeditious implementation
• Support with PFD, PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instruction Development for the Sub-Assy / Assy departments
• Collaborate with engineering to achieve the above tasks, as applicable, in a timely effective manner
  

Qualifications And Educational Requirements

• Candidates should be at minimum working towards a technical or engineering degree or equivalent experience related, including technical studies in technical writing & Best Practice with SOP development, automotive repair, or other engineering discipline, preferably with hands-on automotive experience.
• Experience in developing diagnostic information for the automotive manufacturing industry is desirable.
• Extremely well organized and must be detailed oriented.
• "High visibility" position--must have expert communication and computer skills and the ability to effectively work with internal and external customers.
• Experience with office applications required.
• Must be able to work to established program schedules, provide reports on an as-needed basis.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English as it relates to the job requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional attitude
• Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen.
• Physical Demands
• Required to occasionally lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to occasionally stand 8-10 hours per day
• Good hand/eye coordination and ability to identify color variations and close / distance visual items
• Environment Expectations
• Should be able to work in extreme heat and cold conditions, warehouse setting
• Wear protective clothing and respiratory protective equipment per company policy
• Work around irritant chemicals, gases, etc.,
