Job description

Beacon Resources, in partnership with our client based in North Orange County, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team.

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting with or leading the development of the annual budget, 5 Year Plan and compiling and analyzing financial information and related business analytics to provide management with decision making tools. This position reports to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis. This position interacts with all levels of Operations and Administration in a collaborative team environment.

Job - This Senior Financial Analyst will be providing data and models to formulate the company's budgets and forecasts. You will report to a FP&A manager.

Compensation/Benefits - Starting salary range begins at $90,000/year and increases depending on qualifications. Some available benefits include a 401(k) plan, an Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP), an in-house cafeteria, and subsidized gym memberships.

Responsibilities

  • Create, update, and maintain financial models and detailed forecasts of the company's future operations
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects to meet tight deadlines and produce high quality work.
  • Prepare internal reports for executive leadership and supporting their decision making
  • Excellent planning and communication skills, strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Research and resolve any operational finance queries in an efficient manner
  • Perform periodic financial reviews, including preparation of finance review decks

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a comparable major
  • At least six (6) years of work experience in corporate FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting, and modeling
  • Comfortable working with large volumes of data and diligence when managing detail.
  • Ability to work cross functionally and support multiple senior level clients

Preferred

  • Public accounting experience
  • Construction industry experience
  • CFP certification preferred

Senior Financial Analyst Skills

Technical

  • Expert-level Excel proficiency (v-lookups, MATCH, pivot tables, SUMIF formulas)
  • Experience with a major ERP system

Interpersonal

  • Impeccable written and verbal skills
  • Willingness to take on significant responsibility
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Ability to think critically and analytically
  • Possess excellent organizational skills

  • Oracle/SAP
