Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carry out various day-to-day departmental administrative functions
  • Organize and maintain various departmental files and records, frequently involving cross filing/cross-reference systems
  • Onboard new team members, conduct new hire orientation and point of contact as part of the New Hire Onboarding team distribution emails.
  • Respond to HR Help Request, inquiries, and knowledge base in HRIS Employee Self Service Portal
  • Answer incoming calls from HR Help Line
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Work closely within the HR team in responding to Worker's Compensation and Unemployment Insurance claims to ensure compliance.
  • Communicate with the employees and managers throughout the entire employee employment cycle process.
  • Complete wage verification and employment questionnaires as requested

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & LICENSES:

  • A broad base of general clerical/secretarial skills, including typing/word processing, filing, phone/office reception, and so forth
  • Good basic administrative and organizational skills.
  • Experience in organizing and maintaining moderately complex filing and records systems. Previous experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) is desirable, and possibly required
  • Good reading, spelling/grammar, and general writing and math skills.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Two to three years of relevant clerical and administrative experience, or a combination of education and experience
