Position Overview
The Recruiter will manage the full cycle recruiting process, which includes prospecting, sourcing, reviewing applications, conducting phone interviews, and managing the overall timeline and process through to the end. He/she will bring a strong diverse, inclusive, and equitable perspective to talent acquisition at PLN and research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. The Recruiter will partner with hiring managers to understand their needs and build and execute strategies to source, evaluate, and close outstanding candidates.
Duties:
- Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of full cycle recruitment process.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Monitors and evaluates flow of applications and adjusts strategies to sustain applicant flow; reviews and screens applications, and manages applicant relationships.
- Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Sources candidates through Applicant Tracking System, job boards, social media, referrals and utilizing other creative recruiting strategies to identify top talent
- Coordinates interviews with hiring managers and interview panels; develops interview process and questions, scoring rubrics and activities such as demonstration lessons.
- Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
- Manages the interview process, scheduling, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders and oversees preparation of interview questions and other selection materials.
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience hiring education and social services staff preferred.
- Experience using a variety of proven recruitment methods.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Must have experience with an applicant tracking software or other HRIS systems. Experience in Paycom is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including networking, creating and maintaining relationships within PLN and externally.
- Strong customer focus and effective use of consultative approach with hiring managers.
- Exceptional attention to detail and quality control
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Certification Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required.
- At least three years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred.
