Position Summary

We are seeking collaborative and exploration-minded researchers with both strong experience and a keen interest in taking fundamental research into new product innovation. We expect our researchers to understand the state of the art, and the push past that boundary by working together to distill and apply insights into application. As part of our team, you will both guide research and play a key role in developing and scaling the technology for a wide user base.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data-driven models of human behavior, expression, and gestures
• Analyze and evaluate the quality of a human-NEON interaction and suggest ways to improve it
• Provide input on designing data collection and annotations efforts
• Perform machine learning on multi-modal behavioral data
• Work closely with the software development team to scale training and deployment of the ML models
• Opportunity to publish your research in top tier conferences or journals

Requirements

• Pursuing Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or experience in a related field or equivalent practical experience and training
• Experience with modeling, analyzing, and synthesizing human emotions, behavior, expressions, or gestures
• Experience in building machine learning models with multi-modal human data (e.g., speech, videos, text)
• Ability to write efficient, clean, and reusable code in Python
• Fluent in one of the popular Deep Learning frameworks (e.g., Pytorch or Tensorflow)

A Little Extra!

• Experience with generative modeling and GANs
• Background in psychology or cognitive science
• Experience with C++
