The intern will join the Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) oncology therapeutic area group. The group provides global regulatory leadership and expertise for the development, registration, and lifecycle management of therapies for the treatment of patients with cancer.
Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will assist the Global Regulatory Leads and the Global Regulatory Teams (GRT) in the Regulatory Affairs organization.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment to assist in activities related to development of treatment of patients with cancer
- Under supervision, perform regulatory research to acquire relevant histories of approved products and other information relevant to product advancement
- Working with the US Regulatory Lead, evaluate and communicate impact of relevant US regulations, guidances, current regulatory environment, and competitor labeling
- Assist US Regulatory Lead to support regional regulatory activities (eg, IND submissions and agency meetings)
- Participate in GRT to support execution of regulatory strategy

Basic Qualifications
Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a undergrad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:
- 18 years or older
- Currently enrolled in a full time Bachelors Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
- Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing
- Enrolled in a full time Bachelors degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university
- Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree concentration in biology, life science, or a health science curriculum
- Basic computer proficiency with Windows-based applications (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Must be available for 9-12 weeks beginning in May or June 2022
- Ability to work remotely from within the United States
- Strong communication skills - both oral and written
- Ability to understand and communicate scientific/clinical information
