Position Summary

The Sr. Manager, Human Resources is responsible for all aspects of the human resources functions performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Responsible for the staffing and employment functions.
  • Responsible for administrating all benefits programs.
  • Responsible for all HRIS system and data integration.
  • Coordinates site training plan
  • Representation for investigation and resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
  • Administers compensations and salary administration programs to ensure compliance and equity.
  • Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services such as worker's comp, benefits broker, employee assistance program, etc.

Experience & Education

7+ years related experience and a bachelor degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related field required OR

5+ years related experience and a bachelor degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related field required

5+ years of leadership/people management in human resources required

Prior experience in the manufacturing environment required

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service including assessments and audits, standards and benchmarks, evaluation of program effectiveness, and resolution of problems, bottlenecks, and deficiencies.
  • Knowledge of benefits, performance evaluation, and compensation plans; Understanding of individual performance, abilities, learning, and motivation; Knowledgeable about agency laws and regulations relating to human resources (FLSA, EEO, etc.).
  • Knowledge of management principles involved in strategic planning and forecasting including people, material, and equipment resource allocation; corporate and human resource policies and benefits; leadership; teaming; and production methods.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bi-lingual is a high preference
  • Detailed, accurate, and organized; Ability to inform others about company benefits, policies, and procedures.
  • Proactive communicator who can clearly articulate results and needs across all levels
  • Ability to establish and communicate clear priorities and to influence others to support and act on those priorities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.

Master's degree a plus
PHR or SPHR a plus
