Required

  • CA RN License
  • BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
  • COVID vaccine experience
  • Must be familiar with flu administration and contraindications

Responsibilities

  • This position is a non-patient facing forward position for COVID Coordination.
  • Must have ability to multi-task, learn workflows and COVID testing algorithms for surgical patients.
  • Supports Interventional Platform surgery schedulers, pre-anesthesia schedulers/ Nurse Practitioners (NP) as a resource for current and future policies changes and testing algorithms for COVID-19.
  • Excellent Communication skills - communicating with patients, surgeons, Anesthesia medical directors, and NPs.
  • Customer service skills - interdepartmental connections, bilingual preferred.
  • Geographical knowledge of California and Bay Area.
  • Provides age-specific, quality, patient-centered care to all patients using the nursing process and standards of nursing practice with sensitivity and respect for the diversity of the human experience
  • Demonstrates leadership by inspiring others to achieve their best and acknowledging the positive contributions of staff in the manner they wish to receive it. Promotes team building.
  • Maximizes productivity by focusing on goals, purpose and priorities. Completes written reports and projects within appropriate time frames. Reviews tasks, sets priorities, and revises plans for effective time management.
  • Utilizes performance improvement methodology to design data collection systems / processes and identifies opportunities to improve care / service
