Job description

Overview: The Business Systems Analyst, is responsible for analyzing existing information systems for improvement, recommend new system processes, and keep detailed reports of all structural and process changes. Business Systems Analysts will also support continual enhancements for our Salesforce system and related application platforms, as well as follow best practices to align with company goals while creating better procedures and solutions to increase performance and revenue.
Responsibilities: Essential Functions:

  • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, evaluating output requirements, and formats.
  • Improve systems by studying current practices, designing modifications, analyzing requirements, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, and writing specifications.
  • Partner with project managers to define project requirements and timelines by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements, forming a project team when necessary, and establishing project budget.
  • Work with Development, QA, and Production Support teams to communicate, verify, and test the desired functionality changes.
  • Nurture system protocols by writing and updating procedures.
  • Provide references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation, providing help desk support, and training users.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Be available after-hours for operational problems requiring urgent handling as well as planning/executing Information Systems project implementations.
Qualifications: Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite programs, web-based databases, and be internet savvy.
  • Proven experience in process diagramming with tools such as LucidChart or Vizio.
  • Adept in writing system requirements and user stories using tools such as Jira.
  • Expert computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
  • Ability to understand and communicate system integration and multi-platform architecture.
  • Highly organized but willing to adjust direction when necessary.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies.
  • Strong multi-tasking, prioritizing, and time-management skills.
  • Supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as ability to implement training.
  • Capacity to adapt to new or changing processes quickly and efficiently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or IT related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the business system analysis industry.
  • Knowledge of web services, integration platforms, ERP, and CRM or ATS systems.
  • Knowledge of Software Design, Software Documentation, and Software Development processes.
  • Proven experience recognizing alignment between technology and business processes.
  • Experience collaborating with Sales, Support Services and Marketing teams.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position will have no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
