Our Accounting team members are skilled in their field and most are looking to grow within the company. If you have 2+ years of experience as an Accounting Assistantand have at least 1 year of property management experience, we want to talk with you! We are looking for competent, proactive individuals that enjoy their work and be open to learn new tricks of the trade and have a career with a national company!

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent strongly preferred

  • 1-2 years of Customer Service experience preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail


Duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Accounting Administration

  • Open, Scan Utility Bills and any Miscellaneous invoices.

  • Assist in sorting incoming mail as necessary to ensure timely delivery.

  • Ensure all copy projects are completed accurately and are returned to members of the accounting department within the allotted time frame.

  • Sort and distribute preliminary and final management reports to accounting, controller, asset management and Executive Team.

  • File journal entries, bank statements, and escrow deposit reconciliations. Print MOR's and management reports as necessary.

  • Mail owner packages in a timely manner. Prepare and track overnight packages.

  • Ensure all reports are prepared and delivered timely.

  • Download Banner Bank Statements, label and attach general ledgers.

  • Transfer all files from current year to new year. Audit and package bank statements and reconciliations, management reports, and all other files; send to storage. Maintain log and purge storage files when necessary.

  1. Communication

  • Return calls and emails within 48 hours of receiving

  • Communicate and help fellow AP staff, ensuring all projects are complete and accurate

  1. Office Management

  • Monitor supply needs, including breakroom supplies.

  • Order supplies and items for special events; assist with special events.

  • Maintain all filing systems, and rosters.

  1. All other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers.
